Leonardo DiCaprio Will Star in 3D Role!

The great American novel is going 3D! In an upcoming role, Leonardo DiCaprio will play the role of Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire, in The Great Gatsby. Better yet, it's going to be filmed in 3D and in Australia! The last time the book was brought to the big screen was in 1974 when it starred Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.

According to The Sunday Telegraph of Australia (via The Huffington Post), the new film version of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic will be filmed in New South Wales, Australia. In addition to Leonardo, it sounds like quite the stellar cast! Carey Mulligan will play Daisy Buchanan and Tobey Maguire will play Nick Carraway, the books' narrator.
