According to RadarOnline, Sam initially sued them for breach of contract, libel and defamation for comments mama Spears made in a book. Well, the Spears clan filed documents which asked the judge to dismiss the lawsuit.
Documents also indicated Sam's claims of supposed battery after Britney's dad reportedly punched him were false. That's mainly because Sam admitted he "was not marked or bruised" and in fact, he "felt like he was going to be fine."

Claims regarding libel were thrown out the window because the former manager didn't specify evidence that Lynne Spears thought questionable passages in her book were false. Court docuemnts stated, "Her testimony in this regard was clear, unequivocal and unshaken during the cross examination."

Since the case was dismissed, Sam's intention of $1 million dollars in compensation for work he did for the X Factor judge was thrown out the window, too. Sounds like it's not completely over though because he indicated he's going to file an appeal.
