Life After 'Project Runway': Visiting Joy Behar with Christopher Palu and Avoiding Undesirable Dudes

“I can’t afford to buy you a drink…” he said as though he was one of the Sharks from Shark Tank, with a grin that implied what was to come next would be the best offer in the world. “So why don’t you come to my place where drinks are free?” He continued with the super proud-of- himself smile, that turned my stomach quite so. The warm Prosecco did little to calm my stomach and this is when made myself scarce; very scarce.
I started working at a great spa in Brooklyn, Body By Brooklyn, where we throw a bi-monthly Night Spa party, DJs, drinks and sauna/steam/plunge pool action, and for a small fee you can whipped with a big leaf... it’s one of them many awesome treatments we have, look it into it: Platza, and as of this Sunday, I’ll be trained! Add that to fashion design, styling, teaching and Buffi Boot Camp, I am officially becoming Brooklyn’s answer to Martha Stewart! This is where the chat-up-line from Moron Ville took place.

The “Shark” ended up loitering until we closed, and later, I was informed that he was not just me he was apparently trying to lure into his tank, but he continued to use the “Hi, I’m a broke loser” line on everyone. BOYS/MEN: Just a tip, prefacing a sentence, any sentence, chat-up line or not, with “I’m broke” is neither charming, cute or desirable. Luckily the rest of the clientele were fun, cool with a downtown New York dance party vibe — think Soho House meets Santos. So if you didn’t make it this week, definitely check out the next one on Monday Oct. 1. I’ll be there, having fun with my Platza.

Yesterday afternoon, I got to spend some much needed time with the lovely and very much loved Project Runway buddy Chris Palu, who is officially my Fan Fave! We got down to some good old fashion tomfoolery in the greenroom at The Joy Behar Show. Partners in crime from day one, it was great to be silly, ridiculous and more often than not, completely inappropriate and offensive (I cannot disclose these conversations, we’d be locked up). Chris’ boyfriend, Ryan, was there to support us (which apparently meant eat all the food in the greenroom), he is super tall and slim and one of those horrible people that can apparently eat a house and not put on a pound! So if you didn’t catch the show, Chris and myself got to comment on the fashion faux pas of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Beginning of mine and Chris’ TV career… hum.
