Over Labor Day Weekend, Lifetime's magical new series Witches of East End offered East Hampton revelers sweet surprises in the form of delish brownies to celebrate their upcoming October 6 premiere.

"Freya (Jenna's character) and I don't know that we have any supernatural gifts," explains Rachel, who plays shy and conservative Ingrid. "And Ingrid is a librarian, and I've taken all of the wisdom that I might have from these past lives, and I've applied it to the academic study, and I'm writing a dissertation about witchcraft and the cult practices. So in the midst of that, I'm aware of all of these different forces, and I have studied it so much, and now it's going to be part of my real universe and my family."

Jenna, who admits one of her favorite movies is Practical Magic, is thrilled to be part of a project that explores witchcraft in a believable way—no flying broomsticks here.

“In my very first meeting (about the show), I was, like, ‘Is the magic going to be grounded? Or is it going to be larger than life?’ And it is very grounded and in a very exciting but believable way, which excited me the most because I wanted to do something like that.”
Witches of East End premieres October 6 on Lifetime.
