Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington Dead At 41

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has committed suicide by hanging.

According to reports, the 41-year-old vocalist was found around 9 a.m. PST on Thursday, July 20, in his home in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County.

The Linkin Park frontman was close friends with late rocker Chris Cornell, who committed suicide by hanging in May, and spoke at his funeral.

Chester's body was found on what would have been Chris’ 53^rd birthday.

Over the years, Chester has been open about his struggle with drugs and alcohol and admitted that he considered committing suicide in the past because he had been abused as a child by an older man.

Chester was married with 6 children.
