A-List Stands Up To Cancer

It looks like the Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser is shaping up to be HUGE!
Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron, Lance Armstrong and David Cook, all announced today that they are going to take part in the show on September 5th.
Some are going to perform, some will present and some will man the phone banks to take donations for the public when they call in.
The event, set up by a group of media players who have all faced cancer in one way or another, is going to be a mix of entertainment and hard-hitting documentary segments (with star anchors, Katie Couric, Brian Williams and Charles Gibson) a la Idol Gives Back.
But the organizers think this one's going to be something special.
For one night only, even the rival TV networks are going to call a truce to the ratings war, and ABC, CBS and NBC are all going to broadcast it simultaneously, commercial free, for an hour during prime time.
Apparently Marge and Homer Simpson are going to pitch in, too.
"The support we've received from the creative community is remarkable," said the producer and cancer survivor Laura Ziskin, who made the Spider-Man movies and Pretty Woman.
