Back in December, Taylor debuted her lullaby track "Safe and Sound" for the film that also featured the Civil Wars. Today, Taylor's second song from the soundtrack, "Eyes Open," has been released and it really fits the film!
For both songs, Taylor wrote from the perspective of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).
"Slipping into her mind was such a wonderful break," she tells Rolling Stone. "It's pretty intense writing about my own life, my own struggles. It was almost like a vacation to get to write from someone else's perspective."
