LIVE BLOG: Prince William & Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding!
April 29 2011, Published 11:36 a.m. ET
It's early here in the United States, but those of us devoted to all things royal are up and at'em and live blogging the nuptials of Prince William of Britain and Kate Middleton today in London at Westminster Abbey. Read along with the OK! web team (Mary Beth Quirk and Nicole Eggenberger) or just get the full recap later!
8:30 a.m. MB: We got one more kiss! And with that, we're going to say adieu to the live blog. It's been a fun morning, thanks for reading along!
8:27 a.m. NE: William leaned over and gave Kate a very quick kiss. It was much better when they slowed it down in the recap! Both William and Kate closed their eyes for their very first public kiss.
8:26 a.m. NE: The wedding party have joined them on the balcony and are waving to the screaming crowd.
8:25 a.m. NE: The doors opened and William and Kate are out on the balcony with big grins! Lots of pressure to kiss in front of the whole world!
8:22 a.m. NE: Three minutes and counting!
8:16 a.m. NE: No pressure on William and Kate, but we're all waiting for the royal smooch!
8:10 a.m. MB: Only 15 more minutes until the big kiss on the balcony. Are you all still awake? We are!
7:29 a.m. MB: This thing is right on schedule: Everyone has arrived safely at Buckingham Palace for the next event which is a private reception for dignitaries and VIPs. We doubt cameras are allowed in there, so refill your coffee or take a catnap!
7:21 a.m. NE: The route looks like a dream! William and Kate are chatting between waves and Prince Harry is riding in a carriage with an adorable little bridesmaid and page.
7:11 a.m. MB: They're finally in a horse-drawn carriage. YOU DID IT! This is what little girls dream about.
7:07 a.m. NE: Prince William is very carefully walking next to Kate as he tries not to step on her dress!
7:04 a.m. NE: The kiss on the balcony isn't going to happen until 8:25! William and Kate followed by Prince Harry and Pippa are leaving Westminster Abbey now and will make their way to Buckingham Palace.
7:02 a.m. MB: I think it is very bad etiquette to wear a large, obnoxious hat to a royal wedding. You could be blocking Elton's view, or Posh!
7:00 a.m. MB: We see the royal carriage wedding, supposedly there are only a few minutes left but the choir boys are still asinging.
6:57 a.m. NE: Apparently Prince William whispered to Michael Middleton that, "We were supposed to have just a small family affair."
6:55 a.m. NE: Kate's maid of honor and sister Pippa fixed the train of her dress before being joined by the rest of the family members to go watch Kate and William signing the register.
6:47 a.m. NE: They said the "Our Father" and now they're singing with a beautiful orchestra leading the way. The people standing next to Elton John must feel some pressure to sing well!
6:40 a.m. NE: Time for another song from the choir after the very powerful sermon. Are you crying yet?
6:37 a.m. MB: So we were wrong when we said she's a princess. Technically, they won't be prince and princess until Prince Charles becomes King. They are now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Oh and right now there is a very long, uplifting sermon going on. We bet the couple is relaxing a bit!
6:28 a.m. NE: The choir boys are singing now and it is beautiful. We're getting chills!
6:26 a.m. MB: The reader just implored us not to be "haughty." As if Wills and Kate could ever be such a thing!
6:25 a.m. MB: Well now we just need to pass the time with some readings and such. The rings are on, the words have been said, and Prince William and (Princess!) Kate are doing their duty and following along.
6:21 a.m. NE: They're officially married...we think! Now we just have to wait for that kiss!
6:18 a.m. MB: The ring had to be pushed on a little bit! She must be a bit puffy from nerves. This is going so fast, does anyone else have a headache? SO MUCH INTENSITY!

6:17 a.m. NE: They've both exchange vows very quietly and Prince William was giving Kate a very calming look during the exchange.
6:16 a.m. NE: Prince William said "I will" and now Kate said "I will" too!
6:13 a.m. NE: Okay, now they really look nervous now that the ceremony has started.
6:10 a.m. MB: Elton John was just singing along to the hymns in the Abbey. We love that everyone looks so happy. Hope you're not too nervous, Kate!
6:09 a.m. NE: Now everyone is laughing! Kate has arrived and is cracking up with Prince William and Prince Harry. Way to ease the tension!
6:08 a.m. NE: And then there is Prince Harry keeping the mood light by laughing!
6:06 a.m. NE: Kate is walking down the aisle now. She looks pretty nervous, but is giving a slight smile the whole way down. The trees that were added to Westminster Abbey really does make this ceremony even more romantic!
6:04 a.m. MB: Here comes Prince William. This is so intense.
6:01 a.m. NE: She's so perfect! We're already crying! We can't imagine a better dress for Kate. She even took time to stop and wave to the crowd before entering Westminster Abbey.
6:00 a.m. MB: It is now time for the wedding! This thing has been timed down to the second. Kate's arrived at Westminster Abbey.
5:56 a.m. MB: Kate's sister Pippa leads the little bridesmaids and flower girls into Westminster Abbey as the bells toll. So exciting!
5:54 a.m. NE: Kate is in the car waving to the crowd with a huge smile on her face. She really seems to be enjoying herself and looks gorgeous!
5:51 a.m. MB: Here comes the bride! She's getting in the car and we caught the tiniest glimpse of Kate's white dress! Her hair is down and she's got a bit of a v neck and a long veil. Lots of lace!
5:46 a.m. MB: Kate should be here soon, in about five minutes, and we're about to freak out. Honestly. This girl has got to be so nervous!
5:43 a.m. NE: Queen Elizabeth II is driving up to Westminster Abbey and is dressed in bright yellow! A live shot of the little bridesmaids was just shown of the girls getting into their cars.
5:40 a.m. NE: Prince William is already in Westminster Abbey with his best man Prince Harry by his side. Both are sporting some hat hair after their arrival and now their father Prince Charles is on his way with Camilla.
5:35 a.m. MB: Good morning, America! Who's excited to get this wedding going? We've already seen Elton John and David and Victoria Beckham show up, and now it seems the main members of the royal family are arriving!
