Looking for Leo?

Just ask my sister where to find him. She thinks he’s following her, or that he’ll think she’s following (stalking him). Actually, it’s a coincidence, because as I’ve mentioned, she’s the least star struck person I know and thoroughly unimpressed that my job regularly entails seeing celebrities.
My sister often sees Leonardo DiCaprio on the street we/she lives in NYC. He seems to be partial to spending time on this block of the city near Café Havana and Café Gitane, sometimes a few blocks up in the East Village at Liquiteria, usually on a bicycle, sometimes with sometimes model girlfriend Bar Rafaelli, always with a baseball hat. Then sister came to LA and was only in town a few hours when we ran into Leo, the day he was nominated for a Golden Globe, celebrating with friend and fellow nominee Kevin Connolly at intimate celeb haunt Villa. Last night she ran into him at the Staples Center, quite literally, as she raced to the ladies room after the Lakers Game. He seemed to be waiting for someone too and in the meantime I watched him kindly sign autographs for those that recognized him under the lid of his drawn down baseball hat. He even took a couple of fan photos.

Leo, currently promoting Revolutionary Road, where he again plays opposite Titanic co-star Kate Winslet, must have been in an especially good mood because The Lake Show had a happy ending, down 16 points at halftime and coming back in the last aching seconds of the game to beat the New York Knick 116-114!
Wahoo. Landed in New York today. I love the city – but the Lakers are one place for me where the advantage goes to LA, no contest.
