Love at 35,000 feet

Now living in LA, I missed much of New York fashion week last season so I didn’t lay my eyes on the jewel of the runway until I was recently circling over San Francisco on Virgin America’s first WiFi flight. That’s when I saw her, dressed in Vivienne Tam, elegant and beautiful – the HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition: The world’s first digital clutch. Cased in purple and pink peony’s it’s a laptop that looks like a luxury clutch, and virtually fit in my pre-existing clutch!
When the angel from HP brought the gem by my seat so I could try out surfing the web while in-flight, my eyes opened wide and my heart skipped a beat as I lifted the less than two pound computer onto my lap. The loud music and club vibe ensuing with 30 Rock’s Katrina Bowden and Keith Powell recording live YouTube videos a few rows up in first class faded away and all I could focus on were my fingers dancing on the red keys and clicking on the stiletto and pocketbook icons. The stylish accessory blends fashion and function, a computer small enough to fit in most of my purses (allowing me to blog anywhere, anytime) and will retail for $699, including the embroidered Vivienne Tam sleeve that it’s delivered in. The ‘Enter’ button is the Chinese symbol for Double Happiness and Vivienne has said the overall concept was to encourage the feeling of peace and tranquility you get from being in a garden, a little bit of zen.

The laptop won’t be available for purchase until the Chinese New Year early February, but it’s perfectly fitting for a holiday IOU. Or guys, this lovely red accessory is a thoughtful way to tell the lady in your life how you feel, and slip on a Blue Microphones Mikey and you can tell her it’s so you can always keep in touch, anywhere, anytime, impressing her on so many levels. ;) xoxo
