NEWSLuke Menard Has Cancer, Reports Say

We're hearing sad reports, as yet unconfirmed, that Idol semi-finalist Luke Menard has been diagnosed with inoperable cancer.
The Vote For The Worst Web site says that Luke, 29, who went out of the competition in early March, has learned he is suffering from stage two of the disease.
The site says that the announcement was made in a Myspace bulletin by a musician friend of the singer known as Chinua Hawk.

It has not yet been possible to reach Luke, from Crawfordsville, In., to confirm.
Fox has declined to discuss the claims, saying that they, "don't comment on the personal lives of the contestants on the show."
