Add Madonna to the ever-growing list of celebrities digging deep into their coffers to offer much-needed financial assistance to relief efforts in Haiti following the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that devastated the tropical nation earlier this week.
According to a statement released by the Material Girl, she has donated a total of $250,000 to Partners In Health, a healthcare provider in Haiti, and is pleading for others to do likewise. "Join me collectively to match my contribution or give in any way you can," Madge requests in her statement. "We must act now."
Madonna might want to make a special call to Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen, who told OK! last night that she's too busy finishing her album to think about the horrifying natural disaster.
