A lot of people were shocked by M.I.A's inappropriate and out-of-nowhere middle finger during the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show. Even headliner Madonna is upset. And we mean really upset.

The singer told Ryan Seacrest on his Z100 radio show this morning that she was really unhappy about M.I.A's immature behavior and felt that it disgraced the vibe of her performance.

“I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it," Madonna confessed. "I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity; it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager…irrelevant thing to do…it was just out of place.”

Although M.I.A. has yet to issue an apology for flipping the bird during Madonna's performance of "Give Me All Your Luvin," both NBC and the NFL issued statements shortly after Sunday's big game. "The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show," said NBC spokesperson Christopher McCloskey. "Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers." All 114 million people, might we add.

OK! NEWS: APOLOGIES ISSUED FOR M.I.A.'S SUPER BOWL HALF TIME SHOW HAND GESTURE

"The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing and we apologize to our fans," added Brian McCarthy, spokesman for the NFL.

We wish M.I.A. would issue a statement, but it doesn't look like that will happen.
