Magic Johnson's Group Buys L.A. Dodgers for $2 Billion!

The L.A. Dodgers were in dire straits last year, but former L.A. Lakers star Earvin "Magic" Johnson has swooped in to save the day!

That is, Magic and his purchasing group won the bidding war to purchase the Dodgers — to the tune of $2 billion!
The former basketballer wasn't the only big name to make the huge purchase. He teamed up with five other men for the deal. According to E! News, one of them was Peter Guber, who produced Tim Burton's Batman movies, Rain Man and Flashdance.
