Every week at okmagazine.com, accomplished designer Malan Breton takes a look back at the week in fashion — the Do’s, the Don’ts, and everything in between! Join Malan and OK! for Fashion Fridays!
Darlings, 'tis Friday! Today I am going to take you on a journey, on a magical time machine... To a time where man coalesced on earth wearing nothing but a loin cloth and a SCRAM bracelet, and where women went around with a bow and arrow and hunted for the night's dinner.
Oh, darlings look! It's Lindsay Lohan, in her best clan of the cave woman ensemble, with bow and arrow in hand. Darlings! We love photographer Ellen von Unwerth's vision, so excited to see these images.

Darling,s the CFDA Awards, for those of you who are not familiar, are the fashion industry's equivalent to the Academy Awards. Designers, models, editors and muses adorn their finest pieces to show support to the most incredible group of nominees.
Sarah Jessica Parker looked stunning in Alexander McQueen, but the winner of the night was Iman in Giambattista Valli. Gwyneth Paltrow looked modern chic in honoree Michael Kors, and giving us youthful glamor Dakota Fanning in one of my favorite design houses, Marchesa.

From cave woman chic to Jaws TACKY it's Ke$ha! Perhaps the mask is a welcome change, next week I will wear my favorite chipmunk-carrying-nut-mask on the red carpet! You know what they say darlings... Halloween is everyday!!!

Oh, how cliche! The kiss of the week Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson? Didn't Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera already do that at an MTV Awards ceremony? Dirty dirty girl!

Well at least they were stylishly dressed, of course in fashion no matter what you do as long as you do it in a chic manner it's fiiiiine! HAHA!
On that note, the MTV movie awards brought out some of fashions best and worst looks!

Katy Perry looked stunning in Zuhair Murad, but the blue hair?!?!? How 1994! Paris Hilton, how beautiful you are, but what a chicken feather mess — as a designer I only use quality feathers when making couture. This looks like someone's down pillow after a bad dream.

Scarlett was channeling her inner Sophia Loren in this stunning lace dress. Even the gents were stylish — Paul Rudd looking very summery in a camel cotton suit and Jonah Hill.
I love Christina, she is beautiful and so talented, I did not; however, love her dress. It looks like a costume from Les Folies Bergére, perhaps like three costumes from the Les Folies Bergére and the chain that holds the grande chandelier. Darling, too many elements does not a dress make. I am particularly fond of the black shiny La Cienega car wash curtains that became her skirt. Wrong.... SO very WRONG!!!

Poor Shaun White, he must have been channeling Danny Bonaduce and the Indian from The Village People.
The sweetest couple of the night, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, were seen looking über casual chic, sometimes, darlings, a little goes a long way.
I have to say I too am a fan of Jim Morrison from The Doors, but Russell Brand seen here in Jim Morrison chic, looked quite tame, so shocking!
I think Jessica Biel's ensemble was inspired by Minnie Mouse and Barbie. So many patterns and textures at one time very Harajuku girl chic!
Rihanna is the perfect example of glamor and street chic pairing. Seen here in a pistol whipped T-shirt and cute ruffly peplum skirt she fills the world with youthful glamor.

The next generation A-Team were looking so chic at the L.A. premiere and not as character driven as their predecessors, anyone remember Mr. T?
Jessica Biel can go from Harajuku chic to high-glam and look gorgeous. Her male counterparts, including the dapper Bradley Cooper, also brought out their best most fashionable attire.

On a night out in London Amy Winehouse was spotted wearing house slippers and an ill-fitted dress that she appears to have tucked under to show off her gams. Looking a bit like my neighbor in drag, poor darling.

The Splice premiere brought out Hollywood's best males Adrien Brody, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Paul Gosselaar, and everyone's favorite skateboard champ Tony Hawk, who all looked summer casual chic. Male bonding at its best and a little fashion tied in!

Well, my darlings! Until we meet next Friday, have a glamorous week and try each day to feel a little more radiant, because luminous style makes everyone feel like a star!
