Darlings, a little sparkle, a lot of shine, in homage to fashions dearest friend and one who was quite literally a genius! This weeks Met Gala, was the most touching soliloquy for one so talented. Our generations, Christian Dior, Poirret, our Charles James.
OK! GALLERY: STARS PAY HOMAGE TO ALEXANDER MCQUEEN AT MET INSTITUTE COSTUME GALA
The brilliant Lee Alexander McQueen.
I was touched and amazed to see the turnout, but unclear why there were so few McQueen gowns in a sea of people, on the red carpet, who were all friends to the great designer.
I admire Sarah Jessica Parker so much for staying true to her friendship of the designer. She looked genius in a vintage McQueen gown.
I was amazed by the detail work Zac Posen put into his gown for Christina Ricci, she looked STUNNING!!!
Brava to Giselle Bündchen for wearing a gorgeous McQueen rouge taffeta gown, and Salma Hayek looked lovely in a Mcqueen silk organza confection.
I was really unclear why more people were not wearing McQueen, actually dumbfounded!

The most worn designer of the night, Stella McCartney, featured an array of silhouettes on the red carpet, it was lovely, chic, and beautifully tailored. Madonna in Metallic bleu looked stunning, and the stars, she looked like a genius actress circa Hollywood of 1933.
As you enter the exhibit, you see the artistry, the silhouette, the structure, of the incomparable designer Alexander McQueen. Will fashion ever be the same? I raise my glass to one who inspired eighty five percent of my generation of designers, and a man I had the honour of sharing time with Lee Alexander McQueen. To have known an artist with such beauty and fantasy in his heart, was to have met genius. A genius eminent in creation. Bravo!
Oh the poor darling, Beyonce, had to be carried up the stairs in her Pucci gown. Always remember young designers, you can cut a mermaid with enough room to walk and keep the silhouette fresh and flexible. I do love Beyonce, her dress looked like it was made of gilted gold, a beautiful decoration from the Palais des Tuileries. Such whimsical detail.
Well darlings until next week I wish you,
Love and Glamour!
Bisous,
Malan Breton
