The Ministry of Education spokeswoman said the government is "fed up" with her because she didn't inform the government before she scrapped plans to open a girls' school near its capital of Lilongwe.

Maybe the country doesn't even need the schools? The spokeswoman added, "She has no mandate to decide where she wants to build a school because she doesn't know our needs and where we want new schools... she first needed to consult us, get permission from us before doing anything."

Hmmm. What do you think? Madonna hasn't commented yet on the controversy.

What are your thoughts? Benevolence gone bad?
