Although the Material Girl rocked the Super Bowl and is currently prepping for a whirlwind tour, there's one place that's not showing her any love. Malawi!

Madonna adopted two children from the poor African country and even announced she wants to build 10 schools there. Despite all of this, GossipCop says Malawi officials are now sounding off on her. Check that, against her.
The Ministry of Education spokeswoman said the government is "fed up" with her because she didn't inform the government before she scrapped plans to open a girls' school near its capital of Lilongwe.
"Now she decides to announce that she plans to build 10 schools without getting authority from us again. We now feel like this is all about propping up her global image and not in our interest."

Maybe the country doesn't even need the schools? The spokeswoman added, "She has no mandate to decide where she wants to build a school because she doesn't know our needs and where we want new schools... she first needed to consult us, get permission from us before doing anything."
Hmmm. What do you think? Madonna hasn't commented yet on the controversy.
What are your thoughts? Benevolence gone bad?
