From reportedly dating convicted child molester Mark McDaniel to the cancellation of her TLC reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Mama June Shannon is sitting down with E! to explain her side of the controversial story.
In the exclusive interview, Shannon dishes on if she’s spoken to her daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Shannon. Police reports claim that McDaniel sexually assaulted Shannon’s oldest daughter at 8-years-old while the two were dating in 2002.
She is also explaining whether or not she has been in contact the McDaniel, and how she feels about the show being cancelled in light of the recent reports.
“I can’t say anything bad about TLC,” she said.
When the news broke on Oct. 23, Shannon’s 14-year-old daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon told RadarOnline.com, “They [sic] story is not true. My mom left Mark 10 years ago… She is all about the kids. She only needs us girls, no one else.”
Shannon also defended herself against the allegations on Facebook: “I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can’t believe everything you read!” she wrote. “I promise my kids [are] #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else.”
Following the cancellation of the show, she continued, “Just got a phone call this morning from TLC and as of right now there will be no more production of the show — the statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue,” Shannon said. “I would not ever, ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger, I love them too much.”
The interview airs tonight on E! News at 7:00pm and 11:00pm ET/PT
