Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are hoping to transform Puerto Rico into the Hollywood of the Carribbean, according to a Puerto Rican mayor.

According to The Associated Press, Fajardo Mayor Anibal Melendez said Thursday that J. Lo and Marc would like to build a state-of-the-art soundstage in Fajardo in hopes of having more A-list movies and TV shows film on the U.S. island.

Both Marc and Jennifer were born in New York to Puerto Rican families.

The proposal has only just been made, but Melendez said Marc and Jennifer have "a lot of enthusiasm" for the project when he met them recently in Miami.
