Marc Jacobs is in a dark place and Star magazine has exclusively learned that the designer’s friends are fearful for his future.
“Marc is hanging out with porn stars, has-been ex-models and a bunch of other unsavory people. He’s really heading for disaster,” a source close to the 52-year-old told Star. “And many people are worried that Marc is doing drugs again."
Once the darling of the fashion world, Jacobs had Sofia Coppola as a close confidante and Kate Moss walked in his infamous 1992 Perry Ellis show.
But his star has fallen drastically in recent years and the source said the he is now surrounded by “enablers and basically losers that are just using him to party with. These people are just hanging around him because he is famous and they can score free stuff when they’re with him.”
He’s been unlucky in love lately too, splitting up with Brazilian porn star Harry Lewis in 2013 and playing the field ever since.
Over the holidays, Jacobs has been flaunting his St. Barths vacation on Instagram.
Nicolas Newbold, who manages Jacobs’ dog’s Instagram account, has been credited with taking some of the photos and appears in more as well. Jacobs shared a poolside picture with underwear model Char DeFrancesco, Lorenzo Martone and unemployed model Madisyn Ritland.
He captioned the picture “Poolside glamour. #Lastdayof2015.”

The New York Post published a story in October 2015 that detailed the downfall of his empire, including the shuttering of his stores and his past struggles with his heroin addiction.
Despite the glamorous lifestyle the designer hoped to portray with his photographs from various events and locations, he was hit with a crude comment on his Instagram page, with one person writing “Marc Jacobs is gonna get lots of c** on his face tonight!”
Now, the source claimed that Jacobs is in a free-fall.
“Marc is a mess right now," the source said. "It’s a crisis situation.”
