Maria Shriver has written a long message on her Twitter today saying how blessed she is to have been able to finally bring her son Christopher Schwarzenegger home safely from the hospital.
Maria and Arnold Schwarzenegger's son had been recovering in the intensive care unit of an L.A. hospital after he suffered a boogie-boarding accident last weekend that resulted in a collapsed lung and broken ribs.
But Maria had some good news to share with on Twitter today about Christopher's health.
"Blessed to be able to take Christopher out of the hospital last night," she Tweeted. "What a feeling of relief to know that he's going to be fine."
"Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers," she added. "The whole family, especially Christopher, felt your love."
Maria still wanted to make sure she kept other families in her thoughts and prayers and thank Christopher's doctors.
"We were very lucky. Many patients and families we met have been there so long and have no end in sight, Maria explained. I pray for their recovery."
"I will forever be grateful to the amazing doctors, nurses and hospital staff in the ICU who helped my son."
