Watch out, Oprah!
After months of rumors and speculation about her boob tube future, Marie Osmond confirms she will return to the small screen with her own talk show.
The as-of-yet untitled daytime chatfest will premiere in the fall of 2009 and Marie already has an idea of its overall direction and theme.
"I want it to be a fun show, that girlfriend destination where we can all laugh a little bit, cry a little bit and just enjoy life,” she tells Entertainment Tonight.
The 48-year-old’s last venture into talk show-dom was 10 years ago, when she hit airwaves with her brother Donny for Donny & Marie. The show ended in 2000 and the Dancing With the Stars finalist feels now is the right time to get back in the game.
"It felt like the right time, the right partners, everyone involved," she says. "You know, you live enough life and after a while you go, 'Okay, maybe I’ve been through enough things that I think I’m semi-intelligent on certain subjects!'"

As for her hopes for the program, Marie just wants it to have a positive effect on people.
"There are a lot of women out there who need some joy in their life and hopefully that’s what this show will provide."
