Marie Osmond, mom of eight, suffered a devastating loss on Friday night when her 18-year-old son Micheal Blosil committed suicide.
"My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time,” Marie made a statement to Entertainment Tonight.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Michael jumped from his Downtown L.A. apartment building at 9 PM, but left a suicide note behind.

In the letter, Michael explained that he could not live with his severe depression any longer as he felt alone and unable to fit in.
“Please pray for my sister and her family,” Marie pleads after the loss of her child.
Marie, along with her brother Donny Osmond, have been performing at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, but cancelled their Saturday night set after Friday’s tragic events.

Marie was also a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, but he brother took home the winner’s trophy as the oldest champion ever in 2009.
