Marie Osmond's son, 16-year-old Michael, has entered rehab, Entertainment Tonight confirms. The reason was not specified.
The Dancing With the Stars contestant released the following statement:
"My son Michael is an amazing young man shown through his courage in facing his issues. As his mother I couldn't be more proud of him. The press and public has always been kind and gracious in the past and I know they will continue to respect our privacy during this time."
Michael is one of Marie's eight children with estranged husband Brian Blosil.
Following Tuesday night's result show, in which Marie and her partner Jonathan Roberts secured a spot in the final four, the 48-year-old alluded that there was a lot on her mind in addition to her father George's death last week.
"Not just with my dad — there are a lot of things going on in my life personally," she told OK!, before giving credit to Jonathan, her fans and family for carrying her through these trying times. "Jonathan has been magnificent and the fans have just been so wonderful."
