July 9 2007, Published 6:00 a.m. ET
An intimate July 9th concert at West Hollywood's House of Blues was the setting for Maroon 5's announcement of their eco-friendly global tour. The chart-topping pop band has partnered with climate change organization Global Cool and will donate $1 from each ticket purchased in North America to buy offsets that make the tour carbon neutral. 'We're proud to be working with Global Cool to make the tour environmentally friendly. We all need to play a role in reversing the catastrophic effects of global warming,' the band's frontman Adam Levine told OK!. The tour opens Sept. 29 in Detroit.
