Mary-Kate Olsen is half of probably the best known set of twins…ever. Her and sister Ashley literally grew up with America watching. The Olsen twins were just babies when they made their television debut on Full Housebefore expanding their brand to include music, made for TV movies, big screen features, magazines, and fashion lines. In 2001, Mary-Kate even won a Daytime Emmy Award for her role in the twin's third television series So Little Time. Three years later, just after graduating high school, Mary-Kate checked into rehab to be treated for anorexia but was released a month later. That fall Mary-Kate enrolled at NYU along with sister Ashley, though she took a leave of absence after breaking up with Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos III in 2005. That same year, Mary-Kate's status as a full-blown fashion icon was solidified when The New York Timescited her as creating the "Bobo" (bohemian bourgeouis) look. Mary-Kate went on to make a multi-episode guest appearance on Weeds, placed 37th on Forbes'Most Powerful Celebrities list in 2007 along with Ashley, with whom she also released a coffee table book, Influence. Mary-Kate also became the center of scandal once again when it was discovered that she was the first person called after Heath Ledger's death.
