It's not officially confirmed yet, but the role of Robert F. Kennedy in an upcoming film may be filled by Oscar-winning actor Matt Damon. For someone who was basically American royalty, who would be a better fit to play the part than Matt?
Matt is working on a deal with New Regency for an RFK film with Gary Ross directing and Steven Knight scripting, Deadline Hollywood reports.
The biopic will be adapted from Evan Thomas' biography Robert Kennedy: His Life with Matt playing the role of the assassinated presidential candidate.
The film will focus on RFK's progression from being the younger brother of President John F. Kennedy to becoming a national leader on his own before he was assassinated in 1968.
But Matt won't make his decision on taking the role until he sees the final script — a very politically correct move!
