Megyn Kelly feels betrayed by NBC, and she's reaching out to one of the peacock network's greatest villains to discuss a comeback team-up.
"Megyn is already talking with Matt Lauer about the future and doing a new morning show together," Rob Shuter reveals on the latest episode of his popular Straight Shuter! podcast.
As Radar reported, Lauer was canned from his $25 million-a-year gig hosting Today following a string of sexual harassment allegations. Kelly, 47, was let go after her controversial blackface comments created havoc just before Halloween.

"As part of both Matt's and Megyn's exit agreement, they signed confidentiality agreements and time-limited non-competes," Shuter's sources told him. "But once the agreed time is up, both would love to return to TV and doing it together would be huge."

Kelly, who could walk away with nearly $70 million, has no plans to go quietly into the night.
"Megyn walks away very rich. She never needs to work ever again." Shuter noted. "However, being on TV is like oxygen to Kelly; she cannot be a stay-at-home mom and she has zero plans of retiring."
Meanwhile, Lauer, 60, has spent much of the past year stewing and plotting his return to TV, along with his revenge on those that turned their backs on him.
"They both are very angry with how their different situations were handled," Shuter's sources claimed. "And punishing the Today show by going up against it on Fox News would provide both of them with a certain amount of glee."
