It's been a roller coaster year for Melanie Brown. Things looked grim early on with her paternity suit against Eddie Murphy — which is still pending — but as 2007 comes to a close, Mel has a lot to celebrate. The Spice Girls reunion tour kicks off this weekend and she and partner Maksim Chmerkovksiy finished runner-up on Dancing With the Stars after a stellar run that saw her get in tip-top shape after giving birth to daughter Angel in April.
"I eat lots of salmon, chicken, egg whites and turkey scrambles," Mel tells OK! of her Dancing diet. "I've gone completely off red meat since my baby. I think it's because I was eating a lot of steak and mashed potatoes when I was pregnant — I overdosed."
Scary Spice also has an 8-year-old daughter with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar named Phoenix, who's learning to kick up her heels as well. "Maks has been teaching her little routines. She's learning routines at the Spice Girls rehearsals too. She's got the dance fever."
As for her famous bandmates, Mel can't think of a better time for the girl group to reunite and spice up everyone's life again. With maturity on their years and families in their lives, the 32-year-old believes this new chapter will bring them all closer together.
