
Meryl Streep & George Clooney Are 2009's Best Actors

The winners of the 75th New York Film Critics Circle awards have been announced. Best Actress was awarded to Meryl Streep for Julie & Julia and Best Actor went to George Clooney for Up in The Air and Fantastic Mr. Fox.
”In a year of tough choices for everybody, the Circle celebrates cinema with critical thinking and cultural continuity,” NYFCC chair Armond White said.
Best Film of 2009 was awarded to The Hurt Locker, which also nabbed Best Director honors for Kathryn Bigelow.
Other award winners include: Best Supporting Actress Mo'Nique for Precious, Best Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz for Inglourious Basterds and Best Animated Film went to Fantastic Mr. Fox.
The annual awards presentation will take place on Monday, Jan. 11th at Crimson in NYC.
