Oscar winner Michael Douglas has been diagnosed with a throat tumor and the brave actor is taking the news head on.
Michael is seeking immediate treatment, his rep told E! News.
The actor will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, according to publicist Allen Burry, via E! news.
It has not been released whether the lump in Michael's throat is benign or malignant; however, his doctors are optimistic that the actor will make a full recovery.
Michael will soon hit the silver screen, returning to his role as mogul Gordon Gekko — for which he won an Academy Award — in the sequel Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, hitting theaters Sept. 24.
