Michael Jackson Burial Moved to Sept. 3

As reported yesterday, Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, had announced that the late King of Pop's burial, which had been planned for Michael's birthday on Aug. 29, was being postponed. Now, reps for the family have confirmed to OK! that the service is now slated to occur on Sept. 3.

In a statement released to OK!, the reps say, "The date for Michael Jackson’s burial has been changed to Thursday, September 3, 2009, at 7:00 PM PST. The private ceremony — at Holly Terrace in The Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA — will be limited to family and close friends."
