Michael Jackson Tour Rehearsal Film to Get Two-Week Theatrical Run

Sony Pictures confirmed release date and ticket on-sale date information for the film being culled together from footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for his planned UK concert extravaganza.

The film, Michael Jackson: This Is It, will be released worldwide on Oct. 28 and is currently slated to for a very limited two-week run in theaters. Tickets for the shows will begin to go on sale (and likely sell out) a month earlier on Sept. 27.

This Is It will be finished by director and choreographer Kenny Ortega, who was not just a friend of Michael's, but had also been working on the upcoming live shows with the late King of Pop.
