During Charlie's "My Violent Torpedo of Truth Defeat Is Not an Option" Tour at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods Resort and Casino on April 17, comedian Jeffrey Ross read a lengthy email he received from Michael, basically endorsing Charlie.
“I met Charlie back in 2004. He had my wife and I over to his house for dinner. It was really nice and we had a great time," Jeffrey read from the letter during the show. "I feel bad to see what Charlie’s been through. Everyone has crossed a … line and he’s had his share."
"I haven’t spoke to Charlie in years, but here’s what I see now... Going on TV, crying fake tears, pouring their souls out to Dr. Phil, apologizing for everything they’ve done since second grade and telling the world they’ve found their Lord? Instead of doing all that, Charlie Sheen refused to walk that plank... and put Charlie Sheen as the first one to say, 'I'm tired of apologizing for the fact that I'm special,' " Michael wrote. "That’s why it's so important that everybody believes that they themselves can change. That people who have changed and can be kinder to each other and give each other a friggin f***in break."
"That’s why people are pulling for Charlie Sheen," he explained. "That’s why this time we know he’s gonna stay clean. That’s why everyone wants his same Tiger Blood. That’s why, no matter what sh*t gets in your way, you have the power to say ‘fu*k it’, I’m a winner."

"Thanks for the support, man. That was moving and that was truthful," Charlie said after the letter was read. "That got me right f***in' here where sh*t matters, you know what I’m saying? Everybody thinks that everything we f*****n' do is planned. It ain’t, guys. It ain’t. That’s the first time I’ve heard that, period, the end. One thing I want you guys to know is that I don’t f****ng lie."
"What other people do you know that have come out and supported me in the last couple of months?" he asked. "Um, anybody? Sean Penn, you guys like Sean Penn right?" he asked the audience. "Sean does it his way and everybody still applauds and gives him f****ng Oscars because he’s a genius…. Like it or not, f***n Mel Gibson called me. That was an awkward conversation."
And Charlie is also proud he didn't "walk the plank."
"There wasn’t this rehashed nonsense that public teary f****n' apology, ya know, thanking the agents and I just couldn’t f****n' do it man. It's just, I am, I’m angry dude….When you do that sh*t, you’re people pleasing and that’s that sh*t that contaminates your soul forever, you know?"
