Spike and Michelle met back in 2006 when she was up for a role in his movie Where the Wild Things Are (she got the part but later withdrew) and then again more recently on the set of Synecdoche, New York in 2007.

And lately, the two have been spending a lot more time together: Spike was recently spotted at a convenience store in Brooklyn, buying a toothbrush, toothpaste, eggs and  pancake mix before heading back to Michelle’s home.
