Mira Sorvino Gives Birth to Son

Congratulations to Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino and husband Christopher Backus, who recently welcomed their third child into the world.

Holden Paul Terry Backus was born June 22 and joins big sister Mattea, 4, and 3-year-old big brother Johnny.

In a statement released today, a rep for Mira says, "After a difficult pregnancy involving potentially life-threatening complications to mother and child; the family are home, healthy and happy."

Speaking for themselves, the couple declare, "We are overjoyed to bring our beautiful healthy son home to his brother and sister. We are blessed to have a home filled with so much love."
