NEWSMJ Motown Memorial Gifts Buried in Detroit

The masses of gifts -- stuffed animals, flowers, letters and other mementos -- left by Michael Jackson fans mourning his death outside Detroit's Motown Historical Museum have been buried at a high-profile cemetery, the Associated Press reports.
The gifts were placed in two hearses and transported this morning from the museum and buried at the Woodlawn Cemetery. A vault, granite headstone and two plots were donated for the Jackson memorial, and a brief prayer service was held. The cemetery is the final resting place for some big name musicians and public figures, including members of the Four Tops, Temptations and Rosa Parks.
