Lauren Bush, the first cousin of Barbara and Jenna Bush, tied the knot this weekend with David Lauren, the son of clothing entrepreneur Ralph Lauren in the Rocky Mountains. So yes, in case you're wondering this means only one thing — her new name is officially Lauren Bush Lauren!
As reported by The New York Post, the bride wore an embroidered Victorian-style gown designed by Ralph. In fact, one guest indicated it was "one of Ralph's most iconic designs." As for the groom, he wore a vintage Lincoln-era inspired tuxedo and guests dressed in accordance to the western theme black tie, cowboy boots and all.
Guests included Lauren's uncle and former president and first lady, George W. and Laura Bush, their twin daughters, former governor Jeb Bush and David's family which included his sister and candy entrepreneur, Dylan Lauren of Dylan's Candy Bar.
Noticeably absent however were the bride's grandparents, former president and first lady George H.W. and Barbara Bush. Due to the high altitude at the ranch they were unable to attend the ceremony. Sources told the newspaper they sent a video message that played during the rehearsal dinner which indicated they were unable to make it but were thrilled about the nuptials.
