Molly Sims on Motherhood to Brooks: "There's a Lot of Sleep Deprivation"

Molly Sims is pretty pleased with motherhood...but she may need a nap.

OK! NEWS: MOLLY SIMS REVEALS SHE IS EXPECTING A BABY BOY — "MY HUSBAND IS SO HAPPY!"

The model and Las Vegas star blogged about life as a new mommy this morning (at the bright, early time of 6 a.m., naturally) and had nothing but positive things to say about being baby Brooks' new full-time caretaker.

"My first seven weeks as a mama have been both amazing and hard! There’s a lot of sleep deprivation involved, but I guess that comes with the territory," she wrote. "He has also loved holding onto our fingers from day 1. He’s so cuddly and curious, and loves to be swaddled."

Molly married producer Scott Stuber in September after a year and a half of dating and immediately became pregnant. Molly jokes she conceived on her honeymoon, calling Brooks a "honeymoon baby."

While the jewelry entrepreneur says she "spent hours researching" motherhood, "stocking up on organic baby food, and decorating the nursery," the most central skill she has is her own instinct.

"Preparation is still important of course, but when you stare back at your baby’s little button nose, 10 perfect fingers and 10 perfect, little toes, maternal instinct kicks in and you’ve just got to start going with your gut!" she gushed.
