On Monday, while Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were busy making appearances on every talk show known to man, the remaining contestants and hosts of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! were still mucking it out in the jungles of Costa Rica.
And sources close to the production reveal to OK! that things got even more unpleasant for the stranded celebs when Mother Nature decided to voice her opinion with a violent thunderstorm, almost shutting down Monday night's live broadcast of the NBC hit.
"The hosts Damien Fahey and Myleene Klass were evacuated out of the jungle studio and whisked off to a makeshift secondary location because of flooding and concerns about lightning strikes," reveals the source, adding that the celebrity contestants were also evacuated out of camp into the Jungle Confessional.
According to the insider, there were multiple lightning strikes and ground lightning strikes within very close striking distance of the camp. In fact, booming thunderclaps could often be heard throughout the live broadcast.

And while the show did manage to go on, safety concerns forced the immunity trial that had been slated to be broadcast live on Monday to be postponed until after the storms had passed.
