More answers are being released in the sudden death of Daniel Kerrigan, Olympian figure skater Nancy Kerrigan's father. Daniel died on Jan. 24 after a heated domestic argument with his son Mark Kerrigan over the use of a telephone. The medical examiners in Massachusetts have now ruled Daniel's death a homicide.

Nancy's father and brother pushed one another until Mark  “put his hands around his father’s neck and his father fell to the floor,” according to a police report.

Mark thought his father was “faking it,” when in fact Daniel had suffered a massive heart attack, Gossip Cop reports.

The cause of death was determined to be “cardiac dysrhythmia.”

Mark, who was intoxicated when police arrived, pleaded not guilty to assault and battery on a person over 60 after the elder Kerrigan’s death, according to Gossip Cop.

It remains unknown whether Mark will face more severe criminal charges.
