Natalie Portman has given birth to a baby girl, Amalia Millepied!
While it was no secret that she was expecting a baby, her second with husband Benjamin, the clever actress used a well-timed statement to keep the birth a secret.
On February 25th, Natalie released a statement announcing that although she was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Jackie, she would not be attending the Oscars "due to her pregnancy," saying, "I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards. I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends."

However, Natalie was not pregnant at the time — according to E! News, she gave birth on February 22nd! The 35-year-old, no doubt, was actually spending much-deserved bonding time with her brand new daughter, five-year-old son Aleph, and her husband. Good thinking!
Welcome to the world, baby girl!
