Natalie Portman is giving a big thanks to Darren Aronofsky, her Black Swan director, for getting her... fat?

Extra caught up with Natalie at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and asked about her pregnancy.
Natalie recently announced she is engaged to Benjamin Millepied and pregnant. The Black Swan star reportedly lost 20 pounds for her role, but she's gaining it back now.

"I told Darren, I was like, first you got me skinny, and now you're getting me fat, because he introduced me to my fiancé," Natalie explained. "It's the greatest gift he ever gave me."
