Neil Patrick Harris knows how to make a comeback. The former child star of Doogie Howser, M.D.showed audiences another side of him when he made his now-famous cameo in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Neil continued to show off his range by taking on the role of notorious womanize Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother — a role about as far from the openly gay and happily engaged person Neil is in real life. Neil, who came out in 2006 and is often considered the first openly gay leading man in Hollywood, has been with fiance David Burtka since 2004. The couple welcomed twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace in 2010. While Neil is quite busy being a happy family man, he has also kept quite busy in the past few years starring in The Smurfs, hosting the 2009 Emmys and earning two Golden Globes for his guest role on Glee.
