New Book Reveals Jennifer Aniston's Career Anxieties Before 'Friends'

It's hard to believe a time when Jennifer Aniston wasn't an A-lister but back in the early '90s before Friends hit primetime and the Rachel 'do made a splash, she appeared in a few TV pilots that went nowhere.

Warren Littlefield, the former president of NBC Entertainment, recalls a conversation of self-doubt from the star herself.
The Hollywood Reporter points out in his new book, Top of the Rock: Inside the Rise and Fall of Must See TV, Warren recalls, "Jennifer had been in our weak attempt to do a show based on Ferris Bueller. We cast her in a few more pilots, but none were very good."
