Oct. 3 2018, Published 3:56 p.m. ET
Nicki Minaj has bravely opened up about her past experiences with domestic violence. She posted two separate clips on her Instagram Tuesday from her forthcoming Queen documentary. One of the clips discussed how she would throw her arms out to protect her mother from her father when she was a little girl.
"Maybe some people would describe me as abrasive or bitchy or whatever because I vowed from that age no man would ever abuse me, call me out my name or treat me like that," Nicki said as she became emotional. "Then all of a sudden that was my life."
