Nicki Minaj held a top-secret recording session this week while on tour.
Not only that, according to The New York Post, it was so surreptitiously secret, she and a security team arrived three hours early to meet the studio's whole staff!
Upon arrival, an industry insider indicated no one was allowed to know the name of the song she was recording. "They were told Nicki did not want anyone to know."
During the recording session, the "Super Bass" rapper marched in with two bodyguards, an engineer, and a personal assistant. The source added, “She sent someone out to buy her own water, and she also had to have them buy straws she could sip from."
What's even more cryptic is her Twitter feed. On Wednesday, Nicki announced her fall tour dates will be postponed. She wrote, “When [fans] find out ‘why’ I’m starting the fall tour a bit later, they will be VERY happy. #secretgang.”
