Nigel Barker Dishes ANTM's New Season

America’s Next Top Model is back tonight! Hard to believe Tyra’s been working hopefuls on the catwalk for ten cycles. This season, which is back in New York City, promises to be one of its best, according to longtime judge Nigel Barker, who says the show's going to be sticking around for quite some time.
“We have our 100th episode this season, and the network is talking another four to six seasons, which we’re negotiating right now. You’re not getting rid of us anytime soon,” he laughs.
I’m not complaining. I love watching long and lanky gals battle it out on and off the runaway in their quest to do Ms. Banks proud. That’s going to all be on tap this season, right Nigel? “The girls this season are remarkable,” he gushes. “Because they’ve been watching since they were 13 or 14, we’ll be at judging and they’ll say, ‘Wait a minute, in Season Two, Episode Five, you said this.’ We have to be one step ahead of their game.” Nigel also says this season’s exotic locale will be “sexy and hot and cool and all those things we love on Top Model.”

The show also has a new judge, Paulina Porizkova. “She’s very witty, she’s articulate and intelligent, and she and I don’t always agree,” Nigel says. “It’s just like the old days of judging when Janice Dickinson was around, except she’s not Janice.”
When he’s not judging, Nigel’s working on a host of other projects, including an ad campaign and contest for David’s Bridal “You can go to Davidsprom.com and log in to win a photo shoot with me in New York. You’ll be made up by my glamour squad: hair, makeup and styling, and choose a dress of your choice from the collection.”
Makeovers by Nigel? Why not! “My role in this industry is evolving due to the success of Top Model. I guess there aren’t that many straight men in my business who can talk on the subject of fashion,” he jokes.
America’s Next Top Model premieres Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
