Kate Hudson will be the latest leading lady to woo Daniel Day-Lewis.
Lance Armstrong's other half has joined the cast of the upcoming drama Nine, The Weinstein Company announced Monday.
"We are thrilled that Kate Hudson is joining this group of some of the most talented and creative actors in film and it will be an incredible experience for audiences to watch this cast work under the brilliant direction of Rob Marshall," Harvey Weinstein said in a statement.
Kate is just one of the many, many actresses starring in the flick, based on the Broadway musical that tells the story of director Guido Contini (Daniel) and his numerous love affairs during his midlife crisis. Kate will play Stephanie, a young American fashion journalist.
Chock full of high-caliber (and Oscar-winning and nominated) talent, the film's other stars include Nicole Kidman, Dame Judi Dench, Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz and this year's Academy Award winner for Best Actress, Marion Cotillard.
The film will begin production this fall and is slated for a December 2009 release.
