NEWSNo Casting Ongoing for 'Jersey Shore' Season 3

If you were worried that your favorite guidos and guidettes from the Jersey Shore wouldn't be sticking around, rest your pretty, gelled-heads! Despite other reports that MTV would be replacing their cast for an upcoming season 3, OK! can confirm that the network is simply keeping their options open for the current season.

All those pesky rumors about a third season being cast right now — where did they come from?
"We are casting for Jersey Shore Season 2 in case we want to explore the option of bringing on new cast members," a rep for MTV tells OK!. "It is not for a third season."

While that doesn't necessarily mean that there will or will not be a third season, fans should just relax for now in the knowledge that they'll still get their fill of The Situation and Snooki in season 2.
